My beautiful friend Janie, who lives in France, started this quilt in 2000. It made its way to me a few years ago ready to be hand quilted and was finally machine finished on Jane's last visit in July. It was Janies first quilt with fabrics she had purchased in a quilting shop in Concord, NSW while she was living in Australia.
They say, 'Good things come to those who wait' - don't they?

| I think these colours are back in. |
Gorgeous quilt !! Beautiful, delicate colors and fantastic quilting:)
ReplyDeleteI love your friend's quilt. So pretty and yep, those colors are coming back.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing how long this quilt took to complete. It took me a year to finish a baby quilt for a dear friend's little boy. When I finally gave it to him, she was thrilled, put it up over his crib. She said the baby was afraid of it and cried and cried. :-) It was an attic window in primary colors.
