Be still my heart

This is my latest valentine project for Issue 12 of Fatquarterly E-Zine. Made with the luscious Ruby Oakshott cottons, this easy quilt combines a simple pieced background and an appliqued heart design. I could not bring myself to cut-up the oakshotts so I let these gems radiate in a brick design. Using Aurifil   50wt thread in red (2265), I used a digital quilting design - Rapunzal (Anne Bright).

  7. It's beautiful Jane. I haven't actually seen (or more importantly, touched!) Oakshott cottons in real life, but the more I hear about them the more intriguing they sound.
