I had a lovely visit from Lorena and her family and had the privilege to quilt Lorena's magnificent Scrappy Trip Quilt. Lorena chose a simple all over daisy pattern quilted in Aurifil 2805 50wt thread (light Turquoise). I had to stand and admire each fabric in every row as I quilted the 96" x 96" beauty. It was a wonderful game of 'Name that fabric'.
I am dying to start my scrappy trip version but in the meantime have to finish a few outstanding projects. Here is a sneak peek of a Valentines challenge using Ruby Oakshott Cottons.
I am using an Aurifil thread in red to quilt the oakshotts with a pattern named, 'Rapunzal'.

What a fabulous Trip around the world quilt, the name is perfect! Love the look of your Valentines quilt in those wonderful Oakshott fabrics and beautiful quilting.
